Maruti Suzuki India is planning to launch another small car model - Maruti Cervo in India by August 2010.It is expected that the Maruti Cervo will be priced in the range of Rs. 2 lakhs to Rs. 2.4 lakhs.

Maruti Cervo will be powered by a 658cc petrol engine which generates maximum power of 54 Bhp at 6500 rpm with maximum torque of 64 Nm at 3500 rpm. It is expected that Cervo will return mileage of around 21 kmpl on highway and 17 kmpl in city driving conditions.

Ford Figo to be Launched soon in India

After the huge success of Ford Fiesta and Ford Ikon in mid-sized sedan segment now auto major Ford plans to launch another stunning model Ford Figo in Indian market to make it position strong also in premium hatchback segment. Ford Figo is a premium hatchback segment model that is expected to be launched in Indian market in the month of January this year. TVS Jive : Price, Review And Specification

TVS's Jive is a fusion of the Star's chassis, albeit with some modifications and the 110cc powerplant. Even more rocking is the introduction of the Tmatic system - a double clutch unit derived from TVS Indonesia. So when you start the Jive and engage first gear or any gear for that matter there is no clutch lever to pull. After tapping into gear you just need to accelerate to get going.

It all works surprisingly well and without any fuss whatsoever. Thanks to the double-clutch system you can come to a stop in any gear without stalling the engine. The special gearbox uses the normal multiplate clutch as in normal motorcycles along with a second clutch, before the final drive; much like a CVT in scooters this clutch disengages the drive when the rpms drop low and allows the engine to idle without stalling. TVS claims fuel efficiency of just under 60kmpl and a power output of 8.5bhp.

Volkswagen Beetle : Launches in India on December

The original Volkswagen Beetle, which is also popularly called as the “Bug”, has emerged into a new model, with distinct features of its own. German automaker Volkswagen introduced its first model into the market in the year of 1938, while the latest model was brought out in the year 1998. The new model differs from the earlier ones in having its engine in the front and the luggage storage in the rear part of the car. Now, very soon, Indians are also going to experience the fun of riding this sport car.

Volkswagen is likely to announce the launch of Beetle in India, in the beginning of December 2009. However, unlike what is being believed, the veteran car company does not have any plans to compete with the Indian toy car, Nano; as the Beetle will be priced 15 times more, due to the high duty imposed on imported cars. Moreover, the vintage car will provide a speed limit as high as 180 km/hr, whereas the Nano can only touch up to 103 km/hr. Beetle has a conventional front engine.

Renault-Nissan, Bajaj to launch low cost car in 2012

Promising to deliver a small car that will be the cheapest in India in terms of running costs, auto maker Renault-Nissan combine today said they along with Bajaj Auto have finalised an ultra low cost product that will hit the market by 2012.

It's been a while since we've heard an update on the car coming from the joint venture of Renault-Nissan and Indian manufacturer Bajaj, a competitor to the Tata Nano. Carlos Ghosn, Renault-Nissan's CEO, fills us in with a statement that the ULC (Ultra Low Car) project is alive and well. What news do we learn? First, the 2011 release date has been pushed back to 2012. Second, the car is going to cost $3,000 (compared to the Nano's base price of around $2,000) and will still be available in a version that gets 70 mpg. According to Ghosn, the car will be designed, developed and produced by Bajaj, while Renault-Nissan will provide sales and marketing. We surmise that an export model, with either Nissan or Renault (or maybe Dacia) badges, is more than a possibility.

New Honda CBF Stunner Fi

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) made a national launch of Honda CBF Stunner Fi in the Indian market with not much fanfare. The aim of the launch of the new CBK Stunner by the company is to bolster the Japanese company sales in the two-wheeler segment and Honda targets almost 12 per cent increase from its last year figure of 10.7 lakh units of two-wheelers in India.

Additionally, Honda management says that the new CBF Stunner PGM-Fi will be instrumental in achieving the aforesaid target of the company. However, the target customers for this new sporty and stylish Honda CBF Stunner Fi 125cc bike will be youth in the age group of 18-24.

The CBF Stunner PGM-Fi sports bike is an upgraded version of Honda’s 125cc stunner. Honda‘s new Stunner is equipped with what is called as PGM-Fi (Programmed Fuel Injection) technology, an upgrade over its predecessor Honda CBF Stunner. The innovation improves fuel efficiency whilst giving enhanced performance. The new CBF Stunner PGM Fi will hit the road in sparkling colors of red, yellow and black in a weeks’ time; by June first week.

The new 125 cc CBF stunner is powered with a 4-stroke, air-cooled self-starting engine. It would generate a power of 11.6 bhp @8000 rpm. The mileage is expected to be around 65kmpl, although it sounds over optimistic, even if it is around 50 kmpl its good enough. Sources from Honda claim that from standstill position, the bike can touch a speed of 60kmph in 5.2 seconds. The kerb weight of the bike is 129kg and the fuel capacity is 10 liters with 2 liters in reserve.

Smoothness, reliability, upright ergonomics and pleasure of riding all comes as a package from the new Honda stunner at premium price of Rs. 64,630 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the basic version. The New CBF Stunner will be available in three variants. With the punch line Absolute Sensation Reprogrammed, the new Stunner Fi is expected to entice the young bike enthusiasts.

The strange proportions common to this type of car don't afflict the G; it's nicely balanced from any angie. AUDI E-TRON : A high-performance sports car with a purely electric drive system

Audi presents the highlight of the IAA 2009: the e-tron, a high-performance sports car with a purely electric drive system. Four motors – two each at the front and rear axles – drive the wheels, making the concept car a true quattro. Producing 230 kW (313 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319.03 lb-ft) of torque, the two-seater accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 – 62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 – 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The lithium-ion battery provides a truly useable energy content of 42.4 kilowatt hours to enable a range of approximately 248 kilometers.

The most important development related to batteries for electric drives are lithium-ion cells. Numerous experts throughout the world are working on their further development for use in cars, with the primary objectives being to reduce weight and increase capacity and performance. Audi has also opted for this technology, both for use in a hybrid production vehicle, such as the upcoming Q5 hybrid, and in the e-tron test platform.

The requirement specification for the concept vehicle goes far beyond battery technology and the replacement of the combustion engine with an electric drive system, however. The Audi development engineers decided back in the concept phase to design practically every component and technology based on the new requirements of electric mobility. The interaction of all elements has a decisive influence on the factors efficiency, range and practicality.

New Hero Honda Karizma ZMR launched!

Hero Honda has launched the revamped version of its performance motorcycle, the Karizma ZMR. Introduced at a price of Rs 91,000 ex-showroom Delhi, the new bike will go up against the likes of other performance bikes in the Indian market such as the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi and the Yamaha YZF-R15.

Hero Honda has ensured that the new bike is not just a cosmetic upgrade, but the changes in the exteriors and the design are major and will establish the Karizma ZMR as an all-new bike. The ZMR now features a full fairing that clads the entire engine to pronounce the big-bike feel. Redesigned rear quarter panels and an all new LED taillamp round up the design changes on the new bike.

The engine sees a mild power upgrade from 16.8PS to 17.6PS, but now features fuel-injection that replaces the carburetor. Taking a cue from its competitors, the new bike has also been fitted with an oil-cooler, which should take some of the heat off the completely clad yet air-cooled engine.

On the features front, the new bike sports clip-on handlebars and an all-new digital speedo-tacho unit. The bike seems well kitted for its price, but the competition seems to have a headstart in terms of technology and outright performance. Hyundai genesis coupe 2.0t track

WITH REGARD to the all-new Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the 3.8Track has thus far received the lion's share of attention. Zero to 60 in 5.5 seconds, quarter mile in 14.0 at 101.0 mph, 60 to 0 braking in 111 feet, and lateral acceleration of 0.91 g can do that. Of course, all the greatness that is the 306-horse 3.8Track comes at a price—$30,250, to be specific. But what if most that greatness came for about three grand less? Well, say hello to the 2.0TTrack.

As its badge suggests, the 2.0T Track receives a 2.0-liter, 210-horsepower, 223-pound-foot turbocharged four mated to a six-speed manual (base and premium 2.0Ts can be had with a five-speed automatic). Further, unlike most turbo engines, the Hyundai's runs on 87-octane and posts frugal fuel economy of 21/30 city/highway mpg. At the test track, the 2.0T consumed 60 in 6.8 seconds and the quarter in 15.2 at 90.3 mph. But, as with the 3.8 Track, whose ECU cull power at redline in apparent engine-preservation mode, the 2.0T suffered from some oddities of its own—namely, hanging revs— that seem to exist on purpose.

While the 2.0T's times are nothing to be particularly ashamed of, they're also nothing to write home about—all eight sport-compacts in our"5>mall, Fast, Fun" test (May) put up better times. Nonetheless, the 2.0TTrack is a highly capable sports car, posting 0.91 g on the skidpad and erasing 60 in only 113 feet. Even though its numbers aren't superior to those of the 3.8, the 2.0T feels a smidge more responsive and a bit more fun to hustle than the V-6, thanks in part to a 91-pound-lighter curb weight.

At 527,500, th e 2.0T Track costs $4750 more than a base 2.0T, but that premium incorporates the limited-slip, Brembos, and 19s, not to mention Infinity audio, sunroof, rear spoiler, and Xenons. Sure, the hanging revs and somewhat sluggish accel times are concerns, but what Hyundai can't fix, thetuners most likely can. BENTLEY'S 2010 Continental GTC Speed belongs to that rare class of vehicles to which the standard array of automotive superlatives simply does not apply. After all, how can one adequately convey the sensation of accelerating a 5500-pound, leather-clad convertible from rest to 60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds? Of hitting 195 mph with the top down. Of returning to a standstill via the world's largest production automobile brakes—eight-piston calipers and 16.5-inch carbon-ceramic discs? .

Though essentially a performance variant of the Continental GTC convertible, the Speed is not some stripped-down racer. Sure it has drilled aluminum pedals, but there's no stereo delete option here. Bentley went the other direction and serves up an 1100-watt Nairn audio system—the most powerful available in any production car. The knurled-chrome and leather-paneled gearshift lever of the six-speed ZF transmission further indicate a focus on fine motoring as well as high performance. So do the turned aluminum fascias and use of 12 quilted cowhides to line the sumptuous four-passenger cocoon.

Set atop exclusive 20-inch wheels and 275/35 Pirelli PZeros, the Speed just manages to outsleek the GTC. Some clientele might find it too understated. "Speed" appears only on the doorsills while other signs of the beast—the crackle-black-finished intake manifold, dark-tinted front grille, larger-diameter tailpipes, and rear spoiler—are deviously subtle. Such subtlety evaporates at full throttle. By incorporating new pistons, lighter con rods, and a new crankcase design, Crewe engineers were able to coax 9-percent more horses and 15-percent more torque from the 6.0-liter, twin-turbo W-12: engine while reducing carbon dioxide output by 3.5 percent.This brings output to 600 horses and 553 pound-feet of torque, nearly as breathtaking as the burly wuffle of the tuned exhaust.

With communicative steering and four-way-adjustable air suspension, this all-wheel-drive heavyweight ducks and weaves like the World's Greatest. Even when driven hard, understeer has been suppressed; it surfaces only in moments of extreme driver foolishness before being quashed by the deftly tuned ESP.

The 2010 AUDI A5/S5 CABRIOLET softtop results in a genuine Cabriolet facade, making the AS/ S5 Cabs instantly recognizeable as convertibles, not coupe wannabes when the rain clouds open up. Further, the quattro's six-speed auto is more rewarding than the front-drive's CVT. Itching for a V-6? There's the 265-horse 3.2 quattro, which feels plenty quick but not as lively as its torquier 2.0-liter counterpart. For the ultimate thrill ride, the S5 Cab is the ragtop of choice, its seven-speed dual-clutch auto and 333-horse supercharged V-6 delivering the mightiest punch, its quattro and torque-vectoring Sports Rear Differential providing the most tantalizing experience.
